How You'll Work Within the Agency
Do you have too many notifications on your phone? Is voice-to-text your BFF? Do you love a good Post-it note? No? Great, because we already have one of those squirrels in the founder. We need you and your organized, digital, practical mind and talents, on this team.
This role runs day to day maintenance of select client accounts. You keep the train on the tracks, flag a heads up, draft materials, and support client and media relationships, while final sign off, strategy, and client facing judgment calls stay with agency leadership. This is an entry-to-early career role suited to someone eager to learn agency PR from the ground up. This is the path toward Account Manager.
What You'll Do
- Account Support
- Maintain status trackers, timelines, and to do lists across active client accounts
- Prepare materials for status calls and client meetings, including agendas, recaps, and coverage summaries
- Take and distribute meeting notes and track follow up items
- Support scheduling and light client communication on routine, established matters
- Monitor account status against timeline, scope, and plan, and flag any deviations as soon as they are identified
- Content and Materials
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and materials
- Proofread and format documents for accuracy and polish
- Maintain media lists
- Track media coverage and compile reports
- Media and Research
- Research reporters, outlets, and angles
- Monitor trade press and local news for relevant client opportunities
- Support event logistics coordination when needed
- Internal Operations
- Keep internal systems current and accurate
- Flag anything that could push a project off track or behind schedule
- Take on ad hoc research and administrative support as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of experience in PR, communications, marketing, or a related field (internships count)
- Strong writing and editing skills, with close attention to detail
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple small tasks at once
- Eager to learn, coachable, and comfortable asking questions rather than guessing
- Professional communication skills
- Interest in hospitality, nonprofit, civic or lifestyle sectors is a plus.
- Have you worked in a restaurant? Fantastic, that experience translates here more than you'd think.
How to Apply
Please email your resume, cover letter, and any writing samples to hello@konjoagency.com.
At Konjo, we're interested in your story. We believe the best communicators (and teammates) don't just know how to tell stories, they've spent time understanding their own. We want to know what has shaped you, what drives you, what communities matter to you, and how those experiences influence the way you build relationships and show up for others. We're looking for someone whose curiosity, character, and heart are just as compelling as their resume. Tell us a bit about that in your cover letter or as a separate note in the body of the email.
